Iheanacho Scores Brace As Nigeria Beat Liberia

Kelechi Iheanacho on Friday helped the Super Eagles beat Liberia in their Group C campaign in Surulere, Lagos.

Central African Republic and Cape Verde opened proceedings with a 1-1 draw earlier in the week to give the National team an edge to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Nigeria’s next campaign will be at Cape Verde.

Iheanacho who became the hero of the match found the back of the net after 22 minutes of play to put Nigeria on the lead.

The Leicester City player also secured Nigeria’s lead with a second goal in the 44th minute to top the Group C table.
