I’ll Do For Deltans What Moses Did For Israelites – Uduaghan

Former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has promised to liberate the people of Delta, just the way Moses liberated the Israelites in the Bible, if given a chance to represent Delta South in the Senate in 2019.

Uduaghan had recently announced his intention to run for the Delta South senatorial district in the 2019 general elections.

The former governor is seeking to take the job of Senator James Manager who is the current federal lawmaker representing the senatorial district in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Speaking during a condolence visit to a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lucy Esigie, in Olomoro, Isoko south in the state, Uduaghan said of his senatorial ambition: “Moses grew up in the palace where everything was comfortable for him but the Lord told him that his people were suffering.

“He charged Moses to leave the palace so as to liberate them.

“I have answered the call to return to active politics to liberate and unite our people who have been deeply polarised by the leadership of the PDP.

“I have come for APC to take over and I am leading the Take Over Squad.”

Reacting to the criticism that trailed his recent description of himself as John the Baptist to Deltans, the former governor said:

“They have been trying to deconstruct the meaning of John the Baptist that I used in my defection statement.

“They are breaking their heads over it and wondering who and who will Uduaghan take to the APC.

“Well, my new role as John the Baptist would be to mobilise virtually every PDP member, not just in Delta State but also in the Niger Delta to the progressives’ fold.

“There are some people that we will not allow to cross over. They know themselves,” he said.

Recall that in pursuit of his senatorial ambition, Uduaghan had recently defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC on learning that the opposition party allegedly plans to issue automatic return tickets to its senator in 2019 as a way of discouraging them from defecting to other parties.
