I’ll Tell My Grandchildren I Supported A ‘Stingy Dictator’ As President – Keyamo

The spokesman of the Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr Festus Keyamo, has reacted to a newspaper publication where President Buhari was labelled “a stingy right-wing dictator”.

In the publication, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was equally tagged as “an established thief.”

The article was published by the Texas International Guardian with the caption “NIGERIA: The stingy Rightwing Dictator and an established Thief.”

Reacting to the publication, Keyamo suggested that he would rather support a man who has been tagged as ‘stingy’ and a ‘dictator’ to be re-elected President, than struggle to explain to his grandchildren in future why he supported another candidate who has been tagged as “an established thief” for the Presidency.

While tweeting the front page of the newspaper edition, he said: “If my grandchildren ask me in future who I supported at this time in our history, I can explain to them (with good reasons) the person the outside world saw as ‘stingy’ & ‘dictator’. But I cannot explain to them the other….”

Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), is the Director of Strategic Communications of the Presidential Campaign Organisation of Mr Buhari.
