INEC Begins Voters’ Registration In Kogi, Bayelsa Sept 2

Ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has concluded plans to conduct continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise in the two states with effect from September 2.

INEC, on Monday, in Abuja said that the five-day exercise will afford an opportunity for those who were eligible but did not register before the 2015 General Elections as well as those who are eligible but whose names are not on the Voters’ Register

It will also provide opportunity for those who have attained the age of eighteen years since the last Voter Registration exercise.

INEC further said that “The CVR exercise will take place at the Local Government Area (LGA) level. It will also commence daily from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m”.
