INEC Extends Voters’ Registration

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has extended the deadline for Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) by two weeks.

Recall that the electoral body had in a statement last Friday, said it will suspend the nationwide registration of new voters on August 17, until after the 2019 general elections.

The announcement means the new deadline will now be on 31st August 2018.

Meanwhile, INEC also have registered twenty-three (23) new political parties, bringing total number of political parties to ninety one (91).

Some of the parties include; The Advanced Alliance Party (AAP), Liberation Movement (LM), Save Nigeria Congress (SVN), United Patriots (UP), Youth Party (YP), We The People Nigeria (WTPN), Liberation Movement (LM), Alliance for a United Nigeria (AUN), Alliance of Social Democrats (ASD), amongst others
