“INEC Now An Extension Of APC, Aso Rock Presidential Villa”

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday, described the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as an extension of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and that of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.

Fayose, while fielding questions from the audience during his visit to Orange FM in Akure, Ondo State, accused the electoral body of masterminding the problems facing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The governor also alleged that election in Nigeria is now between the PDP and INEC rather than between political parties.

“INEC has become an extension of the APC and Aso Rock Presidential Villa,” Fayose said.

“If the cabal in the APC led federal government believed that they have defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) through their manipulation of the electoral process, they should be reminded that they can never defeat the people.”

“Isn’t it now safe to say that INEC was actually bribed $1m to allow Jimoh Ibrahim to play the spoiler role that he is playing?

“Isn’t this development a vindication of my position that other political parties and stakeholders are now contesting election against INEC?”

“You cannot hide behind a finger. This is a phase that will pass, 24 hours is a long time in politics,” the governor added.
