INEC Postpones Election In Kogi

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the state House of Assembly election across Mopa Amuro Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The Electoral Officer, Mopamuro LGA, Mr Opanachi Ojodale said the election was postponed to Sunday March 10.

Explaining further, Ojodala said the postponement was because wrong ballot papers were taken to the area.

Similarly, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of Kogi State, James Apam confirmed that there was a mix up in the distribution of electoral materials.

Governorship election is not holding in Kogi state because the tenure of the governor, Yahaya Bello, is yet to expire.
