The National Chairman of the commission, Prof. Mammud Yakubu, disclosed this on Thursday during the presentation of a research guide and observation of the 2016 Edo State governorship election at the Yar’ Adua centre, Abuja.
Yakubu promised that the 2016 governorship election in Edo and Ondo States will record tremendous improvement from the last one year.

He assured that the commission will take every bold steps needed to ensure maximum security of voters in the coming elections, adding that it is collaborating with relevant security agencies to ensure a hitch free election in both states.
The INEC boss was represented at the occasion by the Director Election and Party Monitoring (EPM), Mr. Bala Shittu.
