Inferno Engulfs INEC Office In Akwa Ibom

Fire has engulfed the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ibesikpo Asuntan local government area of Akwa Ibom state.

It was learnt that the fire, which was ignited by hoodlums, razed electoral materials.

The incident comes less than twenty four hours to the governorship and state assembly elections.

Akwa Ibom people are expected to decide who will govern the state for the next four years. The contest is majorly between the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Emmanuel Udom and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nsima Ekere.
