Inside Police IG’s Rapid Promotion, ‘Secret’ Romance With Female Cops (Pictured)
The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris’ alleged rapid promotion and secret romance with junior female officers has been brought to light.
This comes after the lawmaker representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Isa Misau, continued his onslaught against IGP Idris on Wednesday.

Misau had during a plenary session of the Senate reintroduced his allegation of corruption and misconduct against the IGP.
The lawmaker claimed the IGP went against the public service rule by secretly impregnating a junior female officer and eventually marrying her while still serving as a policewoman.
“The IGP is having relationships with two policewomen, who he promoted under special promotion. One of them is Amina and the other is a DSP,” the lawmaker had said.
“The IGP, last month, got married to that woman but under the police service rules and regulations, you cannot marry a serving officer unless the person retires. He quickly did a secret wedding in Kaduna because the lady was four months pregnant.

“I am saying all these because of the institution, because we have so many excellent officers who are now demoralised; who are now frustrated because of the activities of the IGP,” he said.
Meanwhile, further investigation by THE WHISTLER revealed that the said Amina is a “notorious and disrespectful” police corporal who was rapidly promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) within a period of 12 months.
Amina, according to inside sources, wields more power than some top-ranking police officers in the Force headquarters.
A source told THE WHISTLER correspondent that there was an instance where the female police officer stormed the IGP’s office on September 15, 2017, during office hours, and took photographs with the Police Chief without wearing her uniform.
Confirming Senator Misau’s allegation, the source gave the name of the female DSP whom the Police Chief impregnated and got married to as Asta of the police Air Wing.
