IPOB Fighting Terrorists, Not Security Personnel – Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra( IPOB) has exonerated the group from attacks against security formations in the Southeast.

Kanu stated that the Eastern Security Network (ESN) does not attack security personnel.

He said the group is only after killer herdsmen in the forest of the zone.

The IPOB leader tweeted this on Monday.

“I have said it before but let me say it again that the Eastern Security Network I command is strictly organized to deal with TERRORIST herdsmen in our land.

“ESN is a highly disciplined group of volunteers that does not engage in any act of criminality or terror. Anything apart from driving the killer herdsmen, bandits, kidnappers away from our land, its not ESN”.

But security agencies in the country have blamed IPOB for the killing of policemen and attack on police stations in the Southeast.

Mohammed Adamu, the immediate past Inspector General of Police, had revealed after the massive attack on the Imo State Police Command on April 5 that the IPOB was responsible.
