Iraq President ”Denounces” Iran’s Missile Attack
The president of Iraq, Barham Saleh has condemned Iran’s missile strikes on its soil where the United States and other foreign troops are based.
He made this known via an official statement on Wednesday.
“We denounce the Iranian missile bombing that hit military installations on Iraqi territory and renew our rejection of the repeated violation of state sovereignty and the transformation of Iraq into a battlefield for warring sides,” he said.
He also added that the tension poses “dangerous developments” in the region.
Iran had launched missiles against US army base on Wednesday in retaliation for the killing of its senior Revolution Guards leader, Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Bahgdad last week.
