ISAN Mobilises Stakeholders For $1tn Economy Vision
The Independent Shareholders Association of Nigeria (ISAN) is bringing together leading policymakers, regulators, and investors to deliberate on strategies for achieving Nigeria’s ambition of building a $1tn economy by 2030.
In a statement issued in Lagos, ISAN’s National Coordinator, Mr Moses Igbrude, announced that the association’s 8th Triennial Delegates Conference will take place on October 30, 2025, under the theme “Nigeria, Towards a $1 Trillion Economy by 2030.”
The conference will be chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun, who will also serve as the Guest Speaker.
Other prominent speakers include the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Olayemi Cardoso; the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr Olusegun Ayo Omosehin; the President of the Information Security Society of Africa-Nigeria (ISSAN), Dr Martin Ikpehai; and the President and Chairman of Council of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mr Gabriel Idahosa.
Igbrude stated that the triennial conference will attract ISAN delegates from across the association’s operational zones, alongside key stakeholders from the financial markets, corporate sector, and government institutions.
He explained that the event’s highlights would include the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), election of new national officers, and plenary sessions addressing Nigeria’s economic outlook and capital market development.

He noted that ISAN has consistently organised conferences and seminars to educate policymakers, industry leaders, and the investing public on economic and capital market issues of national importance.
“We are actively involved in advising the government on policies relevant to the nation’s economy, especially the capital market. Our goal is to contribute meaningfully to sustainable economic growth and investor protection,” Igbrude said.
According to him, ISAN’s conferences continue to attract world-class speakers, professionals, top government functionaries, regulators, and captains of industry, reflecting the association’s growing influence in shaping policy discussions and shareholder advocacy in Nigeria.
Recognised as Africa’s foremost shareholders’ advocacy group, ISAN is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and boasts a membership of over 10,000 individuals spread across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and overseas branches in the United Kingdom and the United States.
The association’s mission, Igbrude reiterated, is to promote economic growth, strengthen the capital market, safeguard shareholders’ interests, and advocate for good corporate governance in publicly quoted companies.
