ISIS Confirms Jonathan Killed Shekau, Names New Leader For Boko Haram

The speculation surrounding the where about of leader of Islamist terror group, Boko Haram, may have been laid to rest by the terrorist Jihadist group, Islamic State, better known as ISIS, as it has announced a new leader for the Nigeria based group.

ISIS named Abu Musab al-Barnawi as the new leader replacing Abubakar Shekau.

Before the elevation, Al-Barnawi was the spokesman for Boko Haram.

The terror sect in an announcement in the latest issue of their magazine, Aspire, made no reference to Shekau who took over as Boko Haram leader after the group’s founder, Muhammad Yusuf, died in police custody in July 2009.

ISIS, declared itself a Caliphate and asked Muslims all over the world to recognize its powers.

Curiously, no indication was given as to where Shekau, who has over seen the group’s most deadly attacks in Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon magazine was as he is believed to have been killed by attacks by the Nigerian military.

Shekau, it would be recalled, was last seen in a Boko Haram video in March 2015.
