Israel’s New Administration Bombs Hamas After Arson Attack

Israel’s defence force under the country’s newly sworn in administration said its warplanes blew up a meeting site of Hamas after allegedly attacking the country on Tuesday.

The IDF claimed on Wednesday that Hamas fired “arson balloons”, thereby causing a fire outbreak in parts of the country.

An arson balloon is a balloon inflated with hot air, hydrogen, or helium, that has a bomb in it.

“Arson balloons were launched from Gaza into Israel yesterday, causing multiple fires. In response, IDF fighter jets struck Hamas military compounds last night, which were used as meeting sites for Hamas terror operatives. Hamas will bear the consequences for its actions,” it stated.

The development is coming after the Parliament of Israel (Knesset), on Sunday, elected Naftali Bennett as the new Prime Minister of the country thereby putting an end to the twelve-year reign of his predecessor, Benjamin Netanyahu.

But Bennett, like his predecessor, warned that “if Hamas again chooses the path of violence against Israeli civilians, it will encounter a wall of iron.”

However, the Palestine Mission to the United Nations (UN) condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza.

It added that it was Israel’s government that started the provocation by allowing the Jews to organize a “provocative March of Israeli flags in occupied Jerusalem”.

“Israel is NOW bombing #Gaza (1:00 am local #Palestine time) It appears that Israeli once again has violated international law and broken the terms of the “ceasefire,” it stated.

Recall that the Israeli government and the Hamas military organization in Gaza, Palestine, had on May 20 agreed to a ceasefire after an eleven days conflict.

The incident claimed the lives of over 140 persons while more than 1,600 people were injured.
