‘It’s Disgusting,’ Dancer Kaffy Slams Naira Marley Over New ‘Soapy Dance’

Nigeria popular dancer, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau known as Kaffy has slammed Naira Marley over the new masturbation themed dance-step.

The new ‘Soapy Dance’ has sparked reaction from Nigerians, some of who have described the dance as “Immoral and Disgusting.”

Naira Maley introduced the new dance step on Thursday 27^th of June, 2019. The controversial dance step displays a person pleasuring himself.

Recall that, barely two months ago, Naira Marley was engaged in a controversy after he tried making a case for internet fraudsters on Instagram. The singer went ahead to release a hit single, ‘Am I a Yahoo Boy’ after which he was arrested and arraigned in court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged involvement in internet fraud. He recently secured his release from jail.

Kaffy reacting to the dance step, wrote in her IG handle: “I am sorry; I can’t take this. I have never seen a more disgusting, immoral dance like the so-called Soapy. It should never be encouraged. I am really disappointed.

“As dancers we should speak for what is right. We shouldn’t encourage this for the sake of trending especially when it is not even censored from kids. To an adult, it is even offensive. Rubbish!”
