Its Unfair, Immoral To Handover Imo To Your Son-In-Law, APC Knocks Okorocha

A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo state has described plans by Governor Rochas Okorocha to hand over the state to his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu as “unfair” and “immoral”.

A statement by the Macron Nlemigbo faction’s Publicity Secretary, Enyinnaya Onuegbu said Imo is not owned by a family, adding that the Imo people will vote in the APC candidate, Hope Uzodinma come March 9th.

“The governor cannot handover the state to his son-in-law, it is immoral and unheard of and it is not fair to Imo voters and people.

“The Imo people have resolved the attempt to vote bad governance, they have resolved the attempt to convert Imo into a family inheritance so that the dividends and manifest of democracy will be felt in Imo state.

“We are not in Imo state as a state owned by a family and this election will end it once and for all. We believe in this and we believe Imo people will vote for APC to win on Saturday 9th March. We are very confident of that,” the statement read.

Recall that last Friday, the National Working Committee of the APC suspended Okorocha over his support of his son-in-law, who is the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance party.

Okorocha had questioned his suspension stating that the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, has no power to suspend the person who formed the party.

But Onuegbu, in the statement, clarified that the suspension did not originate from the national level, but rather from the state.
