Ivanka Trump Reveals Over 12,000 Sex Trafficking Deals Occur In Atlanta Monthly

Ivanka Trump, daughterandSenior Advisor to the United State’ President, Donald Trump, has said that an estimated 12,400 sex trafficking transactions take place in Atlanta, capital of Georgia monthly.

She made the revelation via an official tweet on Tuesday.

Sex trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons who under threat, force, coercion, fraud, deception or abuse of power are sexually exploited for financial gains.

Ivanka disclosed she would engage the services of two reputable organizations to  ensure that the menace is brought to an end in the state capital.

“An estimated 12,400 sex trafficking transactions take place in Atlanta each month.

“This morning I will visit two safe havens that provide women with the opportunity for rescue, restoration, and a chance to start a new life. I look forward to learning about their important work,” she tweeted.

Based on a United Nations Report (Global Report on Trafficking in Persons), the most common form of human trafficking (79%) is sexual exploitation, which are predominantly women and girls; while the next form of human trafficking is forced labour (18%).
