Iyanya Confirms Exit From Mavin Records

Nigerian recording artist, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, better known by his stage name Iyanya, says he has exited Mavin records.

The entertainer made the revelation in an interview with Beat FM on Wednesday, bringing an end to speculations surrounding his record label.

Speaking further, the “Kukere” crooner said he is now signed to Temple Music.

“I’m now signed to Temple Music but I’m a Mavin for life,” he said.

On why he left Mavin, Iyanya added, “It was not a beef. I was there and it was time to move on.”

Iyanya joined the Don Jazzy-led Mavin Records in October 2016. He becomes the first person to exit the record label after Wande Coal in 2013.

At the time, he made the move to Mavin, Temple Music was not in existence.

Temple Music was launched in August 2017, with 9ice, Bisola Aiyeola, DJ Jimmy Jatt, among the pioneers.
