Jaiz Bank Plc has entered into partnership with CANs Park Ltd and other partners to launch a platform that makes it easy to distribute palliatives to the most vulnerable people.
The bank said in a statement on Tuesday that the platform would match most vulnerable people with relief providers.
The bank said the initiative has been launched in Lagos State and Abuja, and would soon be extended to other states.
It said the initiative is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to provide palliatives as a response to the economic impact of coronavirus on Nigerians.
According to the bank the platform named to be known as Relief Intervention and Symptoms Evaluation, would provide an easy and more secure way to reach relief providers with their requests.
It described the platform as a web and USSD application that connects relief providers to relief seekers within their location.
The bank said RISE was designed to aid the reduction of mass gathering for relief distribution and support the gathering of data on crisis-related needs and intervention requirements, and help organizations to organize the records of their efforts in one place.
Jaiz Bank in the statement disclosed that for the initiative to be successful, organizations and individuals that provide support for the needy especially during this period of the pandemic could harness the platform.
