JAMB Spends N1.2bn For 2020 UTME Supervision

The Joint Adminstration and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said it spent the sum of 1,266,483,200 naira on supervision of the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), held between March 7 and March 20.

This was contained in JAMB’s weekly bulletin( 16 to 23 March), titled ‘Report for The Inflow And Outflow For The Period’.

According to the bulletin, 1, 945,983 candidates participated in the 2020 examination, adding that 99% of the results has been released.

JAMB also said that there were less malpractices in the examination compared to previous years.

But it added that the board would review all the CCTV footages and other technical gadgets in all the centers where the examination was conducted with a view to finding cases of examination misconduct.

The board also said that it would withdraw the results of any student found wanting.

JAMB is responsible for administrating entrance examinations into tertiary-level institutions.
