Jihad Group Mocks Israeli Security After Prison Break By Palestinians

The military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine has praised six Palestinian prisoners who broke free from an Israeli prison at Gilboa on Monday.

Leader of the movement, Daoud Shehab, said in a statement on Monday that “their freedom from the Gilboa prison is a heroic act that will severely shake the Zionist security system and will constitute a severe blow to the Zionist army and the entire system in the entity.”

The group is one of the bloc backing the Palestine resistance of Israel’s claim over Jerusalem.

Shehab added that he believes that the escapees have sent a “strong blow” to Israel’s security.

Meanwhile, the Israel Police force are spread across the nation searching for them.

“Large forces of the Israel Police and Border Police fighters, along with IDF and GSS forces, are operating in the search operation following the escape of prisoners from Gilboa Prison,” the police tweeted.

In the video shared by the police, security agents were seen stopping motorists for a brief check.

Report has it that the escapees are purportedly a part of the Palestinian military wing.
