Jonathan Mourns Ken Wiwa, Says He Was A Patriot

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday, mourned the death of the son of renowned Nigerian environmental activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa.

Ken Saro-Wiwa, Jr, died after a brief illness.

Hugely saddened by sudden death, Jonathan said the “great son of Nigeria’, was ‘prematurely plucked from the Nigerian firmament.’

Ken Saro-Wiwa was the first son of late Nigerian writer. Aged 48, Ken was a prolific journalist, author and served under former President Jonathan as his Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and International Media.
