Jos Protests: DSS Invites Prophet El-Buba

The Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday, invited Prophet Isa El-Buba, a cleric based in Plateau State,  before its Jos office.

According to The Punch, El-Buba’s invitation by the DSS may be connected to his participation in a prayer walk last Sunday, organised by the #EndSARS protesters in the state capital, Jos.

The paper said this was disclosed by a member of his church, who preferred anonymity.

The prayer walk was said to have been held between the Old Airport Roundabout and the Secretariat Junction, and drew huge number of people, mostly youths.

The cleric was said to have insisted, during the walk, that the country must be free from bad leadership.

The member of the church was quoted to have said: “The DSS asked him to appear at their Jos office today (Tuesday). He is yet to be freed after he arrived at their office around 10 am.”

DSS Spokesman, Peter Afunanya, did not pick several calls placed to him by THE WHISTLER to confirm the story, as of the time of filing this report.
