Jussie Smollett Released From Police Custody
American actor, Jussie Smollett has been released from police Custody after lying about an attack.
Smollett was arrested by the Chicago Police Department on Thursday, 21st, February, 2019.
He was released from police custody with bail set at $100,000, and asked to surrender his passport as part of the bail conditions and post 10% of his total bail.
Smollett was also subjected to pre-trial monitoring.
The Chicago Police Superintendent expressed disappointment at Smollett for allegedly betraying the African American and LGBT communities to further his career in a “publicity stunt.”
Speaking further, he said Jussie created the ruse because “he was dissatisfied with his salary” on “Empire.”
