JUST IN: Court Strikes Out N1.6bn Fraud Charge Against Diezani

A N1.6 billion fraud charge involving former oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke has been struck out by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, on Wednesday, struck out the eight count charge brought before the Federal High Court by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC had levelled the charge against Diezani in the trial of her associate, Jide Omokore.

But the court, after hearing an application filed by the former minister that the EFCC named her in the case without granting her fair hearing, struck out the charge against her.
