JUST IN: Hundreds Kidnapped As ISWAP Attacks Borno Village

Hundreds of Borno people have been taken hostage by suspected members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP).

The head of a local militia group, Babakura Kolo, said the terrorists had late on Tuesday, overran Kukawa in the lake Chad region, kidnapped people who had just returned to their homes after spending two years in a displaced peoples camp.

At least 20 soldiers and more than 40 civilians were in June killed and several others injured in a twin attack carried out by the terrorist sect.

Recall that the terrorist group had recently killed over 80 people in a village when it raided Gubiyo Local Government of Borno State.
