JUST IN: JSS 3 Students To Resume In Kaduna State On Sunday

The Kaduna State Government has approved Sunday 16th and Monday 17th August as the resumption dates for Junior Secondary School students in the state.

This was disclosed in a statement on Friday by the State’s Ministry of Education, floated on Governor Nasir El-rufai’s Facebook page.

It stressed that the directive was in view of the “Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) slated for 24th August 2020.”

” Therefore , the Kaduna State Ministry of Education is directing all Principals to make arrangements to receive JSS3 Boarding students on Sunday, 16th and Day students on Monday 17th August, 2020,” the statement partly read.

It urged all the relevant school authorities to ensure that the Covid-19 guidelines were in place.

It also asked proprietors of private schools to ” ensure proper arrangements for safe transportation of their students to and from schools.”

Furthermore, it advised residents to keep engaging their wards in e-learning education programs, pending when the whole classes are directed to resume.

The statement further reads:

“Appropriate resumption dates for other examinations and for the rest of the classes, including the SS1, SS2, and JSS1-2 as well as primary schools will be announced in due course.”
