JUST IN: NEMA Asks Ikeja Residents To Shut Down Shops Over Massive Leakage Of Gas Pipeline

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has asked residents of Computer Village and other areas around Ikeja to shutdown shops due to a massive pipeline leakage dictated in the area.

NEMA listed the affected areas as Computer Village, Ikeja Under bridge end of Awolowo Way, Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, and Medical Road.

The spokesperson for NEMA (South West), Ibrahim Farinloye, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday.

He warned that adhering to the directive will help avert disasters that might lead to huge casualties.

Farinloye, “Residents around Computer Village, Under bridge Awolowo Way, and Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, Medical Road must not open shops or use open naked fire for safety reasons.

“Distressed alert just received indicates massive leakage of gas pipeline around these areas.”
