JUST IN: Nigeria’s Chief Justice Tanko Muhammad Resigns Amid Corruption Allegation

Amid calls for his probe, Justice Tanko Muhammad has resigned as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). 

Muhammad resigned on Sunday night, Channels TV reports, citing judiciary sources.

Prior to his reported resignation, the CJN was accused of mismanagement of funds by about fourteen Supreme Court justices. 

When THE WHISTLER visited the CJN’s office for confirmation, an official at the office directed our correspondent to the office of the Director of Press.

Our correspondent further gathered that the Director of Press was preparing a statement to be made available to journalists.
