JUST IN: Senate Goes Into Closed-Door Session

The Senate resumed Thursday’s plenary by 11 a.m., and after the leading the prayer, the Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, announced that the Red Chamber would be going into a closed door session.

It is not clear the reason behind the closed door session, but THE WHISTLER gathered that the Upper Legislative Chamber could adjourn very early to allow its Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members attend the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting which is holding in Abuja on Thursday.

THE WHISTLER also learnt that the legislators may have gone into the closed door session to discuss their welfare ahead of the Christmas recess.

Besides, the Presidential and National Assembly elections are just about three months away.

THE WHISTLER reports that some of the lawmakers have been paying more attention to the 2019 elections lately.
