Just In: Wike Appoints Professor Okechukwu Onuchukwu Acting Vice Chancellor Of IAUE

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, on Thursday approved the appointment of Professor Okechukwu Onuchukwu as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt.

Professor Okechukwu Onuchukwu is to replace outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, who was also appointed by governor Wike on 23 November 2016 as the VC.

Professor Okechukwu was the Dean, Faculty of Social Science in the institution before his appointment which takes immediate effect.

The appointment was made known through Wike’s Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri.
