JUST IN:Tinubu Increases Ambassadorial Nominees To 65

President Bola Tinubu has nominated another list of 34 individuals for Ambassadors /High Commissioners.

This has brought the list to 65, with 31 of them being non-career while 34 are career nominees.

Also, the President has withdrawn the name of Obinna Oriaki earlier nominated as a Commissioner in the Federal Character Commission (FCC) to represent Abia State. He has been replaced with Victor Ikeji.

Similarly, President Tinubu has nominated Chukwuemeka Chukwu as a Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) to represent Enugu State in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Chukwu is being nominated for a second and final tenure.

The President’s separate letters covering the nominations were read at plenary on Thursday by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.

Tinubu urged the Senate to expidite action on the screening and confirmation of the nominees.
