Kaduna Gas Explosion: Kyari Assures Nigerians of Safety, Sympathises With Affected Families

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mele Kyari has sympathised with the families affected in the recent gas explosion which occurred in Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.

Represented by the Managing Director of Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), Ezekiel Osarolube, during a visit to the scene of the incident, Kyari sent his condolences to the families of victims of the explosion.

Recall that no fewer than five people including a professor and his son were killed in the gas explosion which occurred in a business premises located along Kachia Road in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

Kyari also warned against patronizing unauthorised gas stations, adding that the NNPC  will work with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and other relevant authorities to ensure that the lives of the citizens are no longer endangered by an illegal gas station.

Meanwhile, Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state had consoled families of those that lost their lives to the unfortunate incident.
