THE WHISTLER reported the abduction of 14 residents in Dogon Noma community also in Kajuru LGA, and that of 287 students and staff of Kuriga secondary and primary school, thus, increasing the number of abducted persons in the state.

The situation further prompted the visit of the Chief Of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa to the state on Monday, to meet with Governor Uba Sani.

Musa, who also met with representatives of the Kuriga community said, “We are here to show solidarity to this community so that you would know that whatever you are going through, we are also going through it.

“We assure you that God Almighty is on our side, and whatever we are going through is just temporary. And the problem is as a result of people who don’t want development for this country so that development would take place.

“We are working tirelessly to make sure that all those kidnapped will be safeguarded and brought out as quickly as possible.”

THE WHISTLER contacted the state police spokesperson, SP Mansir Hassan who did not respond to calls and text messages sent to his phone line.
