Recall that the kidnappers had killed the wife of the doctor, while his children were released early February. They were abducted on January 25.

Ibrahim had also, in a viral post said one of the children had identified a neighbour, who is a policeman as the person that ordered the shooting of their mother.

But she apologized over the viral message when she was paraded at the Force Headquarters, saying that she did not verify her information before spreading it as news.

She expressed regrets over any damage the post may have done.

The police in a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, also dismissed the report as fake.
