Kaduna Train Attack: Despite Police Denial, Photos Show Damaged Coach

Despite denial by the Kaduna State Police Command that there was no attack on a train en route to Kaduna from Abuja, photos of the incident have proven otherwise.

Photos of the attack which surfaced on the internet on Thursday showed that the windscreen of the train had been smashed while glass debris littered the driver’s area.

Recall that a former Senator representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Shehu Sani, had earlier alleged that the attack was carried out by “terrorists”.

Sani said the attack took place along the Kaduna-Abuja rail line on Wednesday night and was targeted at the “driver, engine and tank”.

The state’s police command spokesperson, Mohammed Jalige, however denied the claim, saying, “That is not true, the command is not aware of anything. The train was faulty yesterday on its way coming from Abuja to Kaduna which caused a delay in people’s arrival time”.
