Kagara School Attack: Declare State Of Emergency On Security Now, Senate Tells Buhari

– Buhari’s Government Is Incompetent – Niger Lawmaker

Following the abduction by unknown gunmen of students from the Government Science College in Kagara, Niger State, in the early hours of Wednesday, the Senate in an emotion laden plenary urged President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on security.

The Upper Chamber of the National Assembly also called on the President to implement the recommendations made by the Senate Committee on security matters.

The call by the Senate followed a debate on a motion of national emergency on the abduction of the schoolchildren.

Coming under order 42 and 52, the mover of the motion, Senator Sani Musa painstakingly explained the way the school children were abducted.

In his contribution, Senator Bima Enagi Mohammed (Niger South APC), condemned the APC led federal government, describing it as incompetent.
