Kannywood Star Rahama Sadau Says News Of Her Arrest, Trial ‘Fake Stories’

Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, has reacted to rumors’ that she has been arrested and sentenced to jail.

Her reaction followed tweets by some Nigerians and her fans on Tuesday that she was invited by the police and might be arraigned in court over blasphemy,which could lead to death sentence, according to sharia law.

However, Sadau revealed in a tweet that she hasn’t received any invitation from the police and she’s not on trial.

“I have received many messages that I have been arrested and sentenced to jail earlier today. I have no idea where the news emanated from. I’m therefore calling on people to stop spreading FAKE and unfounded stories.

“I’m reiterating this to well wishers that I’m SAFE and FINE and I have never received any legal trial for whatever reason. To those trying to bank on this issue to create an unrest, Please give it a rest,” her tweet read.

The actress recently shared some racy pictures of herself on social media, which sparked comments said to be blasphemous against Prophet Mohammed.
