Kano Result: What Kwankwaso Said About Atiku’s ‘Defeat’

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has reacted to the reported defeat of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in last Saturday’s election in Kano state.

According to results of the Kano presidential election declared at the state’s office of INEC, President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 1,464,768 votes against Atiku’s 391,573 votes.

It was gathered that the APC also swept all the three senatorial seats in the state, as well as some seats in the House of Representatives.

While INEC is yet to announce the result for Kano at the national collation center in Abuja, Senator Kwankwaso is said to have urged his supporters not to protest the outcome of the poll.

This was according to President Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad, who posted an audio clip on Twitter purporting the PDP chieftain as urging his supporters in Hausa to accept the result in good faith.
