Katsina Residents Shock Buhari, Masari, Burn Their Billboards Over Insecurity

Following unrestrained daily attacks of Bandits in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State, residents of the community have taken to the streets in protest.

The protest according to Ripples Nigeria was carried out by men, youths and children and saw them burning tires and billboards of President Muhammadu Buhari and the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari.

Their action was a show of both Buhari and Masari’s apparent inability to use their leadership powers to end the menace of banditry in their area.

Recall that last week Friday, bandits had unleashed terror on Wagini village in Batsari.

It was reported that the bandits stormed the area at midnight and shot sporadically and in the process one person was killed and three others were injured while cars and houses belonging to the locals were set ablaze.

According to some reports, the attack was in retaliation for the killing of a suspected bandit a day before by Yan Sakai (civilian task force).
