Keyamo Targets Fani-Kayode In Cryptic Message, Says Arrogant Behaviour Sign Of ‘Narcissistic Personality Disorder’

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, appears to have taken a swipe at former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, over his verbal attack on a journalist at a recent press conference in Calabar, Cross River State.

Keyamo shared the cryptic post that seemed to be directed at Fani-Kayode via Twitter on Wednesday.

The minister said: “Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a mental health disease that involves a pattern of self-centered, arrogant thinking and behavior and a lack of empathy and consideration for other people. The affected persons are often cocky, manipulative, selfish, patronizing and demanding.”

Keyamo’s tweet came amid heavy criticisms trailing a viral video where Fani-Kayode was seen insulting one Charles Eyo of Daily Trust newspapers.

The reporter was said to have asked the ex-minister who “bankrolled” his tour of projects in some states during the press conference.

But responding, Fani-Kayode called the journalist “stupid” and threatened to report him to the publisher of the newspaper he works with.

The ex-minister had said: “I could see from your face before you got here how stupid you are. Don’t ever talk to me like that. You have a very small mind and don’t judge me by your own standards.

“I have been in politics since 1990 and I am not one of those politicians you think would just come… I’ve been locked up how many times by this government, [I have] suffered. I have been prosecuted unlike most politicians you follow for brown envelopes. I spend, I don’t take [money], and I’m not a poor man and would never be.”
