King Charles III Undergoes Surgery For Enlarged Prostate, Admitted To London Hospital

King Charles III, the reigning British monarch, has been admitted to a London Hospital for a surgical operation aimed at treating an enlarged prostate.

The decision to undergo surgery follows his visit to his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, in the hospital on Friday.

Accompanied by Queen Camilla, King Charles III is set to receive treatment at the London Clinic, where his daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, is currently recuperating from abdominal surgery.

King Charles III, who ascended to the throne last May after seven decades of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, was reported to have scheduled the surgical procedure following an announcement by Buckingham Palace a week ago.

The palace statement confirmed the monarch’s intention to undergo treatment for the medical condition and conveyed his gratitude to well-wishers for their support during this time.

The statement read, “The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment.

“His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”
