KOGI: Bello Goes After Agency Heads, Demands To Know Their Contribution To His Re-election

Barely 24 hours after firing some of his appointees, including special advisers and personal assistants, Governor Yahaya Bello appears to be coming for the heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Kogi State.

Governor Bello has directed the agency heads in the state to submit a report detailing how they contributed to his re-election in the governorship election that was held in the state on November 16.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on November 18 declared Bello as the winner of the November 16 governorship election.

INEC declared that Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 406,222 votes to defeat his closest rival, Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 189,704.

The election was said to have been marred by widespread violence and rigging.
