KOGI: Dino Melaye Says ‘To God Be The Glory’ As Gov Bello Wins At Supreme Court

The former senator representing Kogi West senatorial district, Dino Melaye, has reacted to the Supreme Court’s affirmation of Yahaya Bello as the duly elected governor of Kogi State.

The apex court had on Monday dismissed the suits brought before it by Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Natasha Akpoti of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), challenging Bello’s victory in the governorship poll.

Justice Uwani Abba-Aji had ruled that the suits lacked merit as the PDP and SDP candidates failed to prove the allegations in their separate petitions.

Reacting in a tweet on Monday, Melaye said his party, the PDP, was now leaving everything to God after failing to seek redress at the appeal and supreme courts.

He tweeted: “Kogi PDP is saying To God be the Glory…Kogi APC is saying to Gun be the glory. God will do a new thing in His own time. SDM.”

The petitions by the PDP and SDP candidates had bordered on alleged electoral irregularities and forgery.
