Angola Airline Lands First Airplane In Nigeria

The Angolan national carrier- TAAG Angolan Airline on Monday landed its first flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos.

This follows the issuance of operating licence by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

TAAG Angola Chief Executive Officer, Dr Rui Carreira said the inaugural flight was to further the diplomatic relations and promote business between Nigeria and Angola.

Its Boeing 737-700 will operate Luanda to Lagos flight services twice in a week.

He added that the airline will ease flight between Johannesburg, Sau Paulo, Lisbon and Porto.

The Angolan Minister of External Relation, Manuel Augusto had announced that the airline would commence operation in June 1, 2019 adding that they had agreed to follow up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed on the Bilateral Air Service Agreement between them.
