EPL 2017-18 Fixtures: Champions Chelsea Kick Off Against Burnley, United Host West Ham, Gunners Face Leicester
The English Football Association, FA, on Wednesday released fixtures for the 2017-18 Premier League season.
Champions Chelsea will begin their title defence at home to Burnley, Manchester United host West Ham, while City travel to newcomers Brighton, when the new season kicks off on the August 12.
Antonio Conte’s side will follow up the game against the Clarets by facing last season’s runners-up Tottenham at Wembley in a mouth-watering repeat of last season’s FA Cup semi-final.
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal face Leicester, Liverpool will travel to Watford, as Spurs head for St James’ Park to play newly promoted Newcastle.
Southampton take on Swansea City at St Mary’s while West Bromwich Albion welcome Bournemouth to The Hawthorns as the season gets underway.
Everton, who seem to have the most difficult set of early fixtures, begin the campaign at home to Stoke City.
Liverpool travel to Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City in week two, before hosting Arsenal a week later.
Europa League winners Manchester United travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on October 14, and will host their Manchester rivals at Old Trafford on December 9.
The first of the north London derbies will be staged at the Emirates on November 18 before the return trip at Wembley on Feburary 10.
The league is set to finish on Sunday 13 May 2018, a week earlier than last season, with the World Cup finals in Russia starting on 14 June.
