Lamar Odom Could Face Criminal Charges

Ex-NBA star, Lamar Odom has tested positive to cocaine, after he was found unconscious in a Nevada hotel two weeks ago, and officials are weighing criminal charges.

The 35 year old former NBA sixth man of the year was in coma for four days before being transferred to Los Angeles, and the trauma has affected him physically and mentally.

A source told Daily News that the wreck affected his kidney, so it will take time to figure out how well he can come back, so he has been placed on dialysis.

The incident prompted investigations into what almost caused the former NBA star his life on October 13 in a Nevada brothel, a sheriff source told the Daily News.

Speaking to news men on Monday night, Nye County District Attorney Angela Bello said: “The Sheriff’s Office has yet to submit any matter involving Mr. Odom to my office.

“If and when the matter is submitted, it will go through a screening process as do all cases.

“This will involve a review of all the evidence gathered as part of the Sheriff’s investigation and based on that evidence, a decision as to what, if any, charges would be appropriate will be made.”

It was gathered that the blood drawn from Odom at a hospital in Las Vegas showed cocaine, and Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly said criminal charges were “distinctly possible” if Odom was using illegal drugs in her county.
