Lawan Appoints Adeyeye Senate Spokesman

The Senator representing Ekiti South in the Senate, Adedayo Adeyeye has been appointed as the ninth assembly spokesman.

President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan announced this when he constituted a six-member ad-hoc committee on Media and Public Affairs.

According to reports, Lawan made the announcement at the start of plenary today, Wednesday.

“We are going to set up an ad hoc committee on Media and Public Affairs for the meantime before the reconstitution of the standing committee on media and public affairs to work on our behalf with the media,” he said.

Aside acting as spokesman for the senate until a standing committee is set up, Adeyeye will also chair the committee.

Other members of the committee are Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, Uba Sani, Abba Moro, Ifeanyi Ubah, and Betty Apiafi.
