The Presidency has reacted to an audio recording allegedly done by Leah Sharibu, the only Christian among the abducted 119 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe state, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to rescue her from captivity.
Online news platform, The Cable, had on Monday released an audio recording of Sharibu, pleading with the President not to forget her in the hands of her captors.

The schoolgirl was abducted in February, alongside more than 118 others.
The terrorist group, Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a breakaway faction of Boko Haram, released all the girls who were captured, except five who reportedly died in detention, but refused to release Sharibu for “refusing to renounce her faith”.
But in the 35 seconds audio, Sharibu spoke in Hausa language.
But reacting this evening, Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu said, “The secret service is analyzing the voice”, adding that the government will not rest until all the girls are freed.

We are aware of the audio in circulation concerning the unfortunate situation of our daughter, Leah Sharibu. In dealing with terrorists, nothing is too trivial.

The secret service is analyzing the voice. Our reaction will follow the outcome of the investigation. For President Buhari, nothing will be spared in bringing all our girls home.
